Description
Incredibly rare, authentic triple set of original Bologna-built Weber 48 DCF 3 downdraft carburetors.
These three units feature near-sequential serial numbers 31, 32, and 36), heavily indicating they left the Weber factory together in the 1950s for a single, high-performance Italian engine.
The large-bore Weber 48 DCF 3 is legendary in the vintage racing and Grand Touring world. This specific triple-carburetor configuration was most likely utilized on ultra-exclusive, early-1950s V12 Ferraris or Lancia V6 engines including:
- Ferrari 375 F1 & 375 Plus
- Ferrari 340/375 MM
- Ferrari 410 Sport & Superamerica
- Lancia D24 & D25
Weber 48 DCF 3 it is not mentioned anywhere in the books, it was probably done by Weber as a custom upgrade at the request of various racing teams as upgrade from 46 DCF 3, for more power on ultimate evolutions of engines
Carburetors are in good used condition, one main jet holder is broken and will be needed to remove prior use, also will be needed basic reconditioning, all can be done as extra work, for details contact us.
