I recently purchased one of these short shifters. It was sent the same day I ordered it and I received it only a couple of days later (in Germany).
The quality is excellent! I don’t think I have ever owned anything that was constructed with such precision. The top parts are turned aluminium and the lower parts have been anodised with a grey look. The whole assembly can be easily unscrewed and it all moves very freely thanks to a captured rose joint. I had intended to simply install it to replace my current shifter but I now realise that I will need to remove the boot so that I don’t hide the beautifully constructed mechanism. I need to see how this will work, I may need to make up an additional faceplate so that there isn’t too big a gap from the centre console. In any case, here are some photos (but they don’t really give justice to the quality of construction).
